Watermelon earrings in aid of Palestine

Our first attempt at earrings and we’re feeling pretty chuffed! These earrings are hand assembled by Niamh in her kitchen in Cobh. They’re made of hypo-allergenic metal and glass beads. Every penny of profit will be sent to an INCREDIBLE Palestinian mother of two who has been raising her three children in refugee camps alone since her husband was martyred last year. 

Just imagine raising your children while grieving your husband in the worst possible conditions. We want to raise €200 to help Alaa afford a tarp to waterproof her tent. Her children are freezing and starving. Alaa is a remarkable mother who is doing everything she can to keep her children safe while under siege. 

These watermelon studs are €15 including shipping to Ireland. We have covered the costs of all materials, the platform and payment fees and shipping will be taken out of this €15 with the remaining (approx €12) going directly to Alaa. We are fortunate to have contacts in Palestine who can get this money directly to Alaa and her children in cash, which is a blessing.

The watermelon has become a symbol of resistance and solidarity with the people of Palestine. We hope you’ll wear this studs proudly. Please be gentle with them and take them off before showering.
